This project delivered critical infrastructure upgrades along Loxton’s riverfront as part of a resilience program to withstand future high-water events.
Key project elements:
- Sluice Gates: Replacement of three aging sluice gates at Sophie Edington Drive, Grant Schubert Drive, and Alexander Hill Drive.
- Bank Stabilisation: 300 m of severely eroded riverbank stabilised with engineered rock protection, ensuring safe boat access and reducing ongoing erosion pressures.
- Collaborative Delivery: Worked closely with Council to finalise designs, secure development approvals, and maintain strict WHS standards.
- Environmental Benefits: Reduced sedimentation, improved water quality, protected riparian vegetation, and maintained natural floodplain function.
- Client Outcomes: Long-term protection of community assets, improved safety for recreational users, reduced repair costs, and delivery on budget and schedule
